Swiss Re Foundation

Location: Global

How does this organization contribute to our joint mission to accelerate the digital transformation as a means to achieve UHC in LMICs by 2030?

The Swiss Re foundation favors projects in our “access to health” focus area that can achieve financial sustainability, leverage digital technology to increase access and scale and measure impacts. As we’ve evolved in our first decade, so too has the world around us. Digital technology has become far more powerful and accessible. It holds more promise than ever to bring down costs and increase the efficiency of resilience-building products and services such as healthcare to underserved people, including those living in remote areas. Today many of our grantees offer digital solutions.

What does this organization bring to the DCCC network?

1) As corporate foundation we’re backed by steady financial support, which among other things allows us to share risks in the early stages of solution development by providing grant money.
2) We can offer access to a broad range of Swiss Re expertise (e.g. Risk management, insurance, data analytics, public sector engagement)
3) We can offer access to a growing network of people and organisations that are collaborating on solutions to similar challenges.
